About: This former Cross-Country runner, and Basketball Champion for Siena College was the final athlete signed to compete under the 2015 team. He struggled during his 1st season with injuries, however after a good off season and some re-tooling of his workouts, he is prepped and ready for 2016!

 

Shane had formerly focused on bodybuilding and strength gain after college, however after a good showing in a few OCR races he stripped down to a lean but strong Obstacle Racer.

 

Staying true to his love of traditional lifting Shane still includes a good amount of strength training, which helps him quickly overpower the lighter runners during obstacles. he has introduced a lot of trail running into his routine and has seen a great deal of improvement as a result.

 

Fun Fact: In 2012, while working at ESPN, Shane won the competition that was held at their headquarters and was named "most-well-rounded corporate athlete" at ESPN!
